A School is Established, 1817

An act incorporating a school at Meadville.

Whereas, DAVID  MEAD, by deed of indenture dated 23 Jun 1796, Book H, page
456, Allegheny county court house, did grant to CORNELIUS VAN HORN, HENRY
REICHARD and LUKE HILL, a lot situate in the town of Meadville, #37,
therefore, a school is hereby established under the direction of five
trustees, Cornelius Van Horn, Henry Richard, SAMUEL LORD, SAMUEL TORBETT
and WILLIAM FORSTER, all of Mead twp., Crawford county, are hereby the
first trustees. 22 Mar 1817.
