We have finished the roof over the front porch.  The left and right sides are now covered with corrugated vinyl panels. All the windows in the house are installed except for the one in the master bath which was damaged when it arrived.  The manufacturer's rep has been out to check on it and several other problems and we expect that it will be fixed shortly.  We have filled in some low spots in the basement floor that the contractor left and it is now ready for our hot tub to arrive.  The hemlock siding has started to be delivered  and is drying in the garage and living room.  It should be ready to install in a month or so.  We have been working on framing interior walls and will soon have that job finished.  The basement door is not yet installed because we are waiting for the hot tub delivery and we want to have all the clearance we can when we move it inside.  Alan used the tractor to make a temporary drive from in front of the garage down to the lower level (it is the freshly scraped area to the left of the garage).  We needed it so that we could put the wood stove in the basement.  We also hope that we can use the same technique to get the hot tub in place.  We also started to install the chimney's for the wood stove and fireplace.  So far we have holes in the floor and a list of parts to be returned so we can get ones that fit.  If it sounds like we have a lot going on in parallel, we do.  It makes for considerable discussion as to what we should do next so that we don't interfere with jobs yet to be done.
