We have had enough rain and overnight freezing temperatures to keep the road to the house site muddy and slippery for most of the past month. We didn't waste the time, we have spent it looking at and selecting windows, doors, kitchen cabinets, flooring and other "details". We finally had a dry spell long enough to get our lumber delivered on the 18th. The next day the county came through with 4 loads of gravel for our road. That should finally make our road weather proof. We poured concrete for the storm cellar roof and garage tool room floor and have started building the walls of the basement level. A week of great weather and we feel like we are making real progress.
