The exterior walls and roof for the office, hall, bath and laundry rooms are up. The roof and most of the walls for this section are sheathed. Each of the roof trusses weighed about 170 pounds so it was not easy for Nancy and I to to put them in place. This time we couldn't use the tractor bucket loader as we had for the garage. Getting the sheathing onto the roof was another round of heavy labor. We couldn't get the tractor into position to help with that lift either. When we are putting the sheathing on the roof or trimming the edges I am sometimes hanging in somewhat precarious positions so I have been using our rock climbing gear as a safety system. We will probably need to replace the our climbing rope when we complete this job because the splinters that have been imbedded in it may make it hard to hold on to.
