Fritz and Jan, friends from Carter county, came over to see our progress so we put them to work helping put up the beam at the front of the living room.  It was a mere 300 pounds but it was going 16 feet up so we appreciated the help.  The next step was to put the rafters in place over the main part of the house.  As you can see the columns are up which will support the roof over the front deck.  We have also put the two beams in place which will support the roof over the sides of the deck.  Fritz informed us that, strictly speaking, the roof will make it a porch not a deck.  But for now its a deck.
