Pre K Science
We visited a class of young scholars to have some fun with science.
We showed them how rockets worked and that they needed some way to make sure that they went where they were supposed to.
We also tried to a carry a satellite to orbit and what would happen if it was too heavy for our rocket's power.
A balloon was the rocket, fishing line provided the guidance system, and paper clips were the stand in for the satellite.
They then colored paper, formed it into a rocket tube, and added fins for steering.
And launched them.
Some made it clear to the ceiling.
Liquid nitrogen ice cream was also part of the lesson.
Very cold, a little scary, a lot of fun, and delicious.
We were told that the kids were talking about the class days later.
We know that they had fun and learned some science too.
