Australian Wildflowers
And a few domestics

For pictures of flowers from our other travels click here.

There are a few for which we know the names.
If I have given the wrong name or you can help me identify others please send me a note.
We are not experts in the flowers of Australia so we would appreciate the help.

Uluru and Kata Tjuga
The central desert, part of the Northern Territory

Desert oaks (Allocasuarina decaisneana) in abundance.
They have very little in common with the oaks with which I am familiar (genus Quercus).
They grow very tall and thin until their roots reach water which may be 30 or more feet down.

These were growing near the hotel so were probably being watered and may not have been native to the area.

A few wild plants were flowering.

The propeller leaf plant and its fruit.

More fruit and seed pods.
