Our welcome

The flute maker. He uses PVC pipe as well as traditional materials.

Kids

I always have some string loops for playing with kids.
There is an easy trick where after a manipulation one kid catches the other and a second manipulation releases them, much to their surprise.
Here the trick is being shared.

String figure lesson

A young kid shows me that they know how to do the catch and release trick.

Handycrafts.

Fiber that grows on some palm trees and is used for a variety of traditional crafts.

I think that this is palm log that can be used to make a strong fiber that is sometimes used for weaving.

Wood carvings

Tagua nut carvings from the ivory nut palm.
Also known as vegetable ivory

Baskets and mats.

I don't know what this is supposed to be.

We were treated to several dances.
This was by women of the village.
The brightly colored skirts are all handcrafted.

The village.

A fruit we saw in the village.
I have no idea what it is.

And the drummer that saw us on our way as we were leaving.
