During our boat ride on Gatun Lake we stopped at an island with Capuchin and Tamarin monkeys that boarded our boat looking for a handout.
Here we are getting ready to board

And one of the first monkeys to join us.

Here are the first to come back to get treats from us.
They are the more adventurous Capuchins.

One of the monkeys took a bottle of hand sanitizer from Linda.
She had it clipped to her purse and he managed to steal it, fortunately without taking the purse too.
It promptly scampered up a tree, opened, and drank it.
He is a little guy and it is at least 140 proof ---.

When it was empty it peered into the bottle, shook, and pounded it trying for one more drop.
I wonder how many times it has done that, how drunk it gets, and how much of a hangover.

The tamarin were a little more shy but a banana was the only bait we needed.
