some information about each of the flowers in this next set.
Thanks Mitalee I really appreciate your help.
Crown Flower (Calotropis gigantea)
Medicinal, it oozes a milky substance when any of it's parts
are snipped.
It's used in medication for eye problems like cataract.
Varieties of Oleander Flowers
A quote from a reference Mitalee provided says "A native of India and the Mediterranean, it is now widely
grown in tropical and subtropical gardens, parks, avenues, and is popular
for its hue and fragrance."
Canna flower and fruit (not a lily though sometimes called that)
From South East Asia, it is considered exotic even in India.
It comes
in a variety of colours, ranging from white, pale yellow, peach, pink, orange,
vermillion and deepening to dark burgundy colours.
Flower of the Lantana Bush
It is a common weed plant, but a haven for bees and
butterflies and very, very important for maintaining the ecological balance of
our planet.
Thanks again Mitalee, your information adds a lot to this page.
The remainder of these
fruits and
flowers are still unidentified.
If you recognize any of
them please
send me an e-mail, Thanks.
