Eclipse
photography
There were all sorts of rigs for getting pictures of the
eclipse.
They ranged from point and shoot cameras, telescopes, video, and
pendulum or gyroscope stabilized systems. Here are some of
them
and some proud owners.
One thing you may notice
during the
partial eclipse phase is that a shadow of anything that has small holes
produces an images of the sun's crescent. Nancy's hat shows
the
effect. The smaller the hole the clearer the image.
If you use a pair of
binoculars you
can project an enlarged image.
A little imagination and a few props or a cooperative model and you can
get some cute pictures.
Alex and Nicolle demonstrated the fun that can you can have.
Ted brought a portable
printer so we
had pictures to show as soon as totality ended. They were a
real
hit.
